We are a growing church and we are living the mission to be responsible stewards of the Church: to wisely use God-given human resources, abilities and relationships; share material resources we hold and give them in service, justice and compassion; and provide for future generations.

When Bonnie ask me to speak today, I said sure without hesitation. And then I realized how many people would be here and I got a bit nervous. I've been in the Church all my life.  I’ve been Presbyterian, Baptist, Presbyterian, and Swedish Covenant – followed by more Presbyterian. The first thing to know about me and stewardship is that I am a “saver” and reluctant to be parted from my savings. I am forever saving for a rainy day – and even when one comes along, I am concerned that a rainier one just might be on the way.

The short answer is THE PRESENCE OF GOD, but the story doesn’t end there.

I see the presence of God in our patrons and volunteers on Tuesday nights. A few weeks ago, one of our patrons told me his story. He said, “I started coming here about 3 or 4 years ago.
