Bonnie Perry, Rector
I have been the pastor here at All Saints' since November 1, 1992. I care deeply about preaching, outreach, pastoral care, congregational development and sea kayaking.
"My hope is to continue creating a community where people come to ask the deep questions of life."
Questions like: How can I make a difference in the world? What happens when I die? Must I embrace a particular dogma or doctrine to be a spiritual person? I don't believe that any one individual can answer these questions. However, I do think a worshipping community made up of other people who are also wrestling with these important issues can offer perspectives that will help each of us along our own life journey. I also believe that each of us has been given a unique gift by God that we may choose to use to better our world.
A core belief at All Saints' is that the Gospel doesn't matter a rat's tail if it doesn't change people's lives. So we invite people to discern what their gifts may be and then find many and varied ways to make use of these gifts to begin changing our world.
"What are your gifts? How are you making use of them? Come and join us-perhaps you'll find out more about yourself and God all at the same time."
When I'm not doing church-I'm reading or writing or better yet-I'm out on Lake Michigan paddling my kayak or at the Skokie Lagoons teaching other people how to paddle their sea kayaks.
Bonnie has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA; A Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York, NY; and A Doctor of Ministry in Congregational Development from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL.
She is an American Canoe Association certified Open Water and Eskimo Roll Kayak Instructor, a level 3 sea kayak Coach in the British Canoe Union and a Wilderness First Responder.

Prior to coming to All Saints' Bonnie was:
The Interim Rector at St. Peter's in Clifton, NJ
The Associate Rector at Christ Church in Ridgewood, NJ and
The Parish Missioner at Christ Church, in Hackensak, NJ.
She was ordained in 1990 by the Rt. Rev. John S. Spong, Bishop, Diocese of Newark
Fran Holliday, Associate Rector

I have served as the Associate Rector of All Saints’ since October of 2010. I am very excited to be here in the midst of this community where I was an active parishioner from 1994 until my ordination to the priesthood in 2003. Prior to being ordained I worked in residential treatment with adolescents and as a nursing home social worker.
I believe that God is most visible and tangible in the midst of our relationships with others and my deepest passion is helping individuals and communities of faith develop relationships with each other and with the broader community. I love brainstorming with others on creative and “out of the box” ways to nurture these connections. Over the years I have been involved in organizing an after school program for youth, a summer camp, Cook county jail ministry, connecting churches with the Avon Walk for Breast Caner, Fair trade organizations and local neighborhood concerns.
I am honored to be here at All Saints’ preaching, doing pastoral care and working with our food pantry and community meal program as well as with all of our outreach ministries that touch the lives of so many people.
I love socializing, and dining out. You can usually find me at quaint diners trying new cuisine and looking for the best “ retro” food and décor around the country. I love film and have attended numerous film fests including the Toronto Film Fest, the Chicago Silent Film Fest and the Chicago Film Noir Festival. My favorite pastime is traveling. I love to experience new places of all kinds. Whether it is simply appreciating the beauty of an old whitewashed 1800’s church in Grafton Illinois, taking boat rides down the Mississippi, fishing on the Amazon for piranha, touring South Africa, or following the old Route 66, I rarely turn down an opportunity to explore new places.
Rev. Fran earned her B.A from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her M. Div. from Seabury Western Seminary in Evanston IL Prior to coming to All Saints’ she served as the Curate of Christ Church, Waukegan and as the Rector of St. Richard’s in Chicago.
Beau Surratt, Parish Administrator

I have served as Parish Administrator at All Saints' since May of 2007. There is never a dull day around the office at All Saints' and if you were to stop by you might find me working on anything from print publications, this website, financial matters or building management to hauling bread for our Tuesday night food pantry.
I graduated in 2006 from Elmhurst College with a B.A. degree in Theology and Religion. During my time at Elmhurst I served as a college intern here at All Saints' where I helped out at the food pantry on Tuesday nights, preached, led worship, visited home-bound parishioners and did lots of other random things. I found All Saints' to be such a fun and life-changing community of faith that I couldn't help but come back to work in this place.
For the past 6 years I have served in administrative roles in various churches. In addition to my work in this sort of a capacity, I have been a church musican for the past 10 years and I currently serve as Director of Music at St. Elisabeth's Episcopal Church in Glencoe, IL. I'm also very active in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, currently serving as volunteer coordinator for Diocesean Convention.
When I'm not working at All Saints' I enjoy all sorts of musical activities, yoga, knitting, eating out with friends, biking, reading, and watching all sorts of TV, especially vintage British comedies, NCIS, Will and Grace and The Golden Girls.
Margaret McCamant, Director of Music

I’ve been the music director at All Saints since the beginning of Lent in 1991. This job has been a remarkable opportunity for me to learn and grow as the demands of the position have changed over the years. I grew up in Minnesota and was raised in the Congregational Church. I studied organ with Enid Woodward at Carleton College (I graduated in 1971) and again, beginning in 1989, with Robert Reeves, then organist at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Evanston. From 1996 until 1998, I attended the Leadership Program for Musicians and earned the presiding bishop’s diploma. One of the requirements for that diploma was to write my personal philosophy of church music. That exercise helped me to articulate my goal in this job: to enable as many people as possible to participate in music, in whatever way each one can and wants to do so. Matching hymns with the needs and spirit of each service is my favorite part of church music and I particularly enjoy finding new hymns for us all to learn.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, knitting and other crafts, and, in an odd sort of busman’s-holiday way, taking singing and instrumental classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music. My husband Bob and I live in Chicago and have two grown children, Stephen and Jane.
Beth Taylor, Seminarian
I am thrilled to serve as “seminarian” at All Saints! When I experienced this church community that shares my passions for vibrant worship, feeding the hungry, and welcoming all people, I knew I was at home! I moved to Evanston with my family two years ago so that I could attend Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 14 years. We have two children, Gianni (6) and Sofia (3). We came from a wonderful community in Denver for twelve years where we were nurtured and challenged, and where I discerned my call to ordained ministry.
Before graduate school, I was a non-profit manager. I started my career with the United Way of New York City where I developed programs and special projects. In Denver, I served as Executive Director for Metro CareRing, a great non-profit emergency services organization, that provides food and other basic needs to low-income families. I also worked as a non-profit consultant, and provided community education and advocacy on diversity, poverty, hunger, and housing issues.
I really like singing and listening to traditional jazz, full-on gospel, and blue grass music, watching independent films, and reading all kinds of literature (my favorite authors are Denise Giardina, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Joan Chittister). I am a “foodie,” and particularly enjoy Northern Italian and Thai cuisine.
Jacqueline "Jack" Clark, Seminarian
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as a seminarian at All Saints’ for the 2009-2010 academic year, and excited to learn from and be formed by such a vibrant and engaged community. I’m happy to be back in my native Chicago working on the second year of a dual graduate degree in Divinity and Social Work at the University of Chicago. A Roman Catholic, I am not pursuing ordination, but am passionate about the social mission of the church and hoping to learn from All Saints’ about fostering and sustaining outreach that recognizes the creation of all people in the image of God. As a result, I’ll be spending most of my time at All Saints’ participating in Sunday morning worship and the Community Kitchen and engaging in education.
I am a graduate of Notre Dame, where I studied English. Before graduate school, I worked as a foster care caseworker through the Episcopal Church’s New York Intern Program in New York City, and as a lobbyist on domestic human needs issues at NETWORK: A National Social Justice Lobby in Washington D.C.
When not at All Saints’, you might find me reading, biking, cooking, thrift store shopping, or, most likely, studying.
Andrew Goldhor, Intern
I began attending All Saints' in Advent
2008, and began working as an intern in Lent, 2009. The congregation’s dedication to outreach and passionate investment in social justice made an immediate impression on me, and I am looking forward to growing as a member of this community. My time at All Saints' is spent assisting during worship, helping out at the Tuesday night food pantry, and beginning in Spring 2009, working to launch a Youth Group for All Saints' young people.
I attended college at the University of Colorado- Boulder, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelors in History. After college I moved to New York City, and lived in community with four other young Christians at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. As a member of the New York Intern Program, a Domestic Service Program sponsored by the Episcopal Church and Americorps, I spent a year considering my role in the Church while working as an intern at Broadway Housing Communities. My primary project was launching and coordinating a Mentor Program, connecting staff volunteers with teens living at the Dorothy Day Apartments, a supportive housing unit for families and individuals. My time in Harlem influenced my desire to work with at-risk youth, create and participate in communities of change, and strengthened my feelings of vocation, leading me to enter into formal discernment in my home state of Massachusetts.
When I am away from church, I work with teenagers part-time at a south side YMCA. I play and follow baseball, softball and basketball.
Owen Meany Harlow Perry, Assistant Sexton
I'm a long-haired miniature dachshund and a graduate of Call of the Wild School for Dogs completing Basic, Advanced Basic Training and Agility Training Level I. My ministries at All Saints' include--cleaning the floor of virtually any crumb--greeting visitors--and reminding people to slow down and take a nap or two. I also enjoy reading, traveling and writing haiku.
Izzy Harlow Perry, Shepherd
I'm an Australian Shepherd--originally from Wyoming and South Dakota--but when things didn't work out for me with my family of origin I accepted the position here at All Saints. I've been on staff for just over a year. As you can see in my photo I'm passionate about the sacred intersection between movement and prayer. I also find tennis balls and frisbees to be extremely enriching. Like my smaller, older brother Owen, I'm a graduate of Call of the Wild School for dogs--completing Basic Obedience and Super Obedience. I've also been blessed with the opportunity to study Agility Training. In my spare time when I'm not engaged at activities here at All Saints' I enjoy trail running, hang gliding and the poetry of W.H. Auden and T.S. Eliot.
